Annabel Short
At the crossroads of human rights and environmental impact, Annabel Short works with nonprofits and foundations to advance business responsibility and accountability. Recently with IHRB and other members of the Coalition for Dignity in the Built Environment, she is implementing a practical framework that guides investors, architects and construction firms in respecting human rights and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals throughout the built environment lifecycle.
“Human rights and environmental impacts are fundamentally connected,” she said. “People migrating to urban areas as a result of climate change, for example, often find themselves in workplaces where they are vulnerable to exploitation. A key part of our agenda, and that of Grace Farms.’ is raising awareness on this point. We want to make it clear and tangible.”
